AI/ML Consultation

AI & ML consulting - strategy and architecture from someone who actually builds.

Not advisory decks. Structured deliverables: architecture blueprints, build-vs-buy analysis, capability assessments, and technical due diligence - all from a practitioner who ships production AI.

Architecture review
We audit your current AI stack - data pipeline, model serving, observability - and return a written report with prioritised recommendations.
AI strategy & roadmap
Where to apply AI for measurable ROI, in what order, and how to build organisational capability alongside the technology.
Build vs. buy analysis
Honest assessment of whether to use an off-the-shelf API, fine-tune an open model, or build custom - with cost and risk modelling for each path.
Technical due diligence
For investors and acquirers: we evaluate AI product claims, model quality, data quality, infrastructure, and team capability.
Capability gap assessment
We map your current AI capability against your goals, identify the gaps, and produce a prioritised plan to close them - with realistic timelines and costs.
Team upskilling brief
A structured programme brief - what your engineers need to learn, in what order, with resources - so your team can own the AI work long-term.

What an AI consulting engagement produces

A Modulus AI consulting engagement produces a decision, not a deck: what to build, what to buy, what to skip, what it will cost to run, and what has to be true for it to pay back. Typical deliverables are an AI readiness assessment, an architecture review, a build-versus-buy analysis, technical due diligence on a vendor or an acquisition target, and a costed roadmap. Engagements are fixed-fee and usually run one to two weeks. Modulus works with teams in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, Germany and France.

What does an AI consulting engagement deliver?

A written assessment covering current-state architecture, where AI would genuinely pay back, where it would not, a build-versus-buy recommendation, and a costed roadmap with sequencing. Structured for a board or an engineering lead to act on directly.

How long does a consulting engagement take?

Most run one to two weeks from kickoff to written deliverable. Longer engagements are usually due diligence work or reviews spanning several systems, and are scoped separately.

Will you tell us not to build something?

Yes, and frequently. Identifying which parts of a roadmap should not be built is a large part of the value — that judgement is cheaper to buy before the budget is committed than to discover afterwards.

Do you review work built by other vendors?

Yes. Architecture reviews and technical due diligence on existing systems or vendor proposals are a common engagement, including cost analysis and an assessment of what it would take to bring a stalled build to production.

Is consulting a prerequisite for a build?

No. Many clients go straight to a build after a free discovery call. Consulting is for cases where the decision itself is unresolved, or where someone needs an independent read before committing budget.

Get the architecture right before you build it wrong.
